HWGB’s Health Division, D’viria Sponsors Merchandise to iKEY Edutech to Provide Safe Return to School

Ho Wah Genting Berhad (“HWGB” or the “Group”) (Bursa Stock Code: 9601), will partner with iKEY Edutech Sdn Bhd (“iKEY Edutech”) on their Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) program via its wholly-owned subsidiary and health division unit, D’viria Nano Tech Sdn Bhd.

This collaboration aligns with HWGB’s purpose-driven culture to create shared value by addressing social needs through initiatives and proactive actions.

While the world gradually adjusts to the new normal, the emergence of new COVID variants such as Omicron impacts lives and livelihood. This is even more crucial for educational institutions such as schools.
The efforts to re-engage with educational activities need to be led by the confidence among parents, teachers and students. This would require a safe environment for all stakeholders, and D’viria has stepped up by donating its health equipment such as disinfectants. This will boost confidence among teachers and students to return to school.

Under the CSR program, D’viria will donate health equipment and merchandise worth RM11,000. The health equipment sponsored is the D’viria Twin Head Mechanical Atomizer (18L), D’viria Mini Electronic Atomizer (15L) and D’viria Nano CD Disinfectant (1L), which would help to provide a safe environment for teachers and students as they return to school.

The first beneficiary school under the CSR program with iKEY Edutech is SJK (C) Taman Connaught.

Mr. Bernard Lim Wee Kiat, Executive Director of D’viria, said: “We’re excited to be a part of this initiative to help provide a safe return to school as we gradually transition towards normalcy. We believe it is important to ensure that teachers and students can stay in free space from virus pollution. This will encourage students to return to school in a safe environment. It’s even more important as the new COVID variant such as Omicron is said to be very contagious.”

According to Mr. Bernard Lim, D’viria Nano Chlorine Dioxide disinfectant features aerosolization and deep cleaning, including air and surface disinfection. The machine and disinfectant will help to eliminate 99.99% of germs.

The patented formulas used in D’viria sprayers and disinfectants are non-toxic and environmentally friendly. It does not contain alcohol, does not hurt the skin and is safe to use. The product has also been certified by extensive research and independent laboratory testing, has Halal certification and is listed by NSF (National Sanitation Foundation).
